I’m in Boston vacationing for a few weeks in the summer, the best time to be here while it’s quiet. I’m feeling the love for my city and how it keeps getting a little less provincial and a little more late-night and carefree like a NY state of mind. Wicked awesome Boston!
I love to walk through the Back Bay and down upscale Newbury Street and saw some new digs. The Boston Bridal Lounge, a space just opened this year by former Grace Ormonde Wedding Style editors Kerri Esposito-Bruneau and Eleni Granas. It’s exciting to see real places (not just in the virtual internet land we live) but real brick-and mortar places where brides can shop for professional services, wedding venues and trusted vendors. The Wedding Library in NY was the first to start the trend over 10 years ago by Claudia Hanlin, and in the last few years I’ve seen wedding resource boutique shops open around the country like The Wedding Room in Newport RI, The Bridal Bar in LA and The Collections Event studio in Sonoma for Wine Country resources.

Many couples getting married in the Back Bay opt to do to their wedding pictures in the Boston Public Garden.

After the church ceremony on Newbury street, we walked to the Boston Public Garden for family wedding portraits.
